In all honesty, it really is better to let me make your reprints. When I make you a compact disc you have all of the images cropped to a 4x6 (which is full frame) Reprint machines automatically crop the pictures and you could end up losing part of a head or the sides of your pictures.
Even though I color correct before I give you the cd, my screen is not calibrated which each lab in our town and will not always be color corrected when you get your pictures back from the lab. When I do reprints, I send them to a professional lab that color corrects, and prints on a higher quality paper than is offered in our area. I crop each portrait so that it is centered and does not cut heads off. Wallets are cut with rounded corners and I can make sure that if you wanted your name added to them, it won't be cut off. I know how important it is for some of you to access to your images on cd and that is why I offer that option. If you choose to use a local lab, I suggest having me make your first set of reprints and then after that, testing them at local labs. When printing anywhere you must disable the auto enhance feature. If you do not disable it....your pictures will come out blown out and really really orange. It really upsets me to see my work displayed in a manner that is unflattering to me as an artist. Please do not alter the image dramatically. Your pictures say a lot about you, and me as well. I do not want people to see your pictures printed out badly and when they find out I did them...you can bet they won't come to me. The best compliment you can give to me is the recommendation to your friends and family. |
